Tiresome Wait on Food Policy Change for Daycares: PEI Healthy Eating Alliance 

 The healthy living policy was developed in 2008, as a set of guidelines for food policy in daycare centres.  The PEI Healthy Eating Alliance has been waiting for the past two years for the set of guidelines to come into effect.

 The policy is not only aimed at changing the food, it also covers physical activity recommendations for daycares.

The president for the Healthy Eating Alliance, Jennifer Taylor, would like to see the government moving faster on implementing this policy.

The push for the policy to become law will help to change the current guidelines on food and activity so that more daycares will enforce the healthy living policy.
