Decision on valley farmland delayed
A decision on rezoning farmland in Greenwich, Nova Scotia has been delayed, reports the Chronicle Herald.
About 100 people held signs that read Funeral for Farmland? as they sang and marched through the streets of Kentville.
But it was all for nought, as a few minutes later Kings County councillors voted to delay their decision on rezoning 152 hectares of farmland in Greenwich for two weeks, until their regular monthly meeting Feb. 1.
The rezoning has been protested by a group called No Farms, No Food.
