Hope Blooms on Dragons’ Den Wednesday, November 13th 8PM
On Wednesday, November 13th at 8PM, some of the youth leaders from the Hope Blooms Program based at the North End Community Health Centre (NECHC) will be appearing on CBC TV’s Dragons’ Den with a Pitch for their Fresh Herb Salad Dressing Youth Social Enterprise.
Hope Blooms has quickly sprouted from a community garden project into a line of organic salad dressings made from the produce grown in the garden. The business fosters entrepreneurial spirit and encourages youth to become agents of change in their community. Find out more about the project and their goals at the North End Community Health Centre website.
The NEHCH as well as many other supporters (including us here at FoodARC) are extremely excited about the NEHCH youth leaders making it to the Dragons’ Den and equally anxious to find out the final verdict! Be sure to tune in to CBC TV on November 13th at 8pm to see the youth in action.
The Halifax North Memorial Public Library, in partnership with the North End Community Health Centre, will be hosting an event on November 13th at 8PM to celebrate Hope Blooms’ appearance on the Dragons’ Den. Clear Your Schedule or Program the DVR! Support local, young entrepreneurs!
