Planning Students Celebrate with Local Food Festival
The School of Planning is hosting a Local Food Festival to raise awareness of how a strong local food network is integral to a sustainable Halifax. The event is part of our free, student-run conference: SHIFT: Resilience. The conference focuses on exploring the different ways cities have shown adversity and ingenuity in dealing with social, economic, political, and environmental challenges.
The Food Festival will take place on Friday, March 7th at 5:30pm in the Exhibition Room of the Dalhousie Architecture and Planning Building (5410 Spring Garden Road) We have approximately ten confirmed vendors who will be serving amazing food and talking about how they see themselves making a difference by strengthening the local food community. Admission is $5, which will be donated to the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank. There will be live music!
In short… delicious food, great music, and meaningful conversation. Spread the word! We can’t wait to see you there! For more information, visit the Facebook event page here:
