On Monday 27 February 2012 internationally renowned food activist Dr. Vandana Shiva presented to an appreciative full house. Dr. Patty Williams then gave a short presentation on food security in the Nova Scotia context. Followed by Dr. Shiva who addressed questions from earlier discussions.

The event was organized by Oxfam, the Participatory Action Research and Training Centre on Community Food Security, and the Ecology Action Centre.
