Healthier Food, Healthier People Project A Joint Initiative
This is a report on the two part Atlantic-wide project, Healthier Food, Healthier People. The project aimed to create an inventory of food security initiatives in the Atlantic region in order to promote resource sharing and strengthen food security efforts. The second part of the project summarizes presentations and discussions held at a forum in March 2006; the forum was an opportunity to share information about activities to address food security and to increase understanding of the issue. As the report concludes, it is important to address the root causes of food insecurity and to create partnerships with groups involved to successfully address and build food security. January 2007.
